Michael Cera caves! “Arrested Development” film a go

I just knew he couldn't hold out much longer...

According to sources close to the “Arrested Development” movie, indie darling Michael Cera has finally agreed to take George-Michael Bluth to the big screen.

Although the project probably would have carried on without him, Cera had been the lone holdout among his fellow cast members of "Arrested Development.
Kristin Dos Santos of E! Online reports he's had a change of heart and will sign on to the film.

Dos Santos' sources also say that the show’s creator, Mitchell Hurwitz, is writing the script. Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Jeffrey Tambor, Tony Hale, Jessica Walter, Portia de Rossi and David Cross have all allegedly signed on. Ron Howard is in talks to direct.

Howard told E!’s Ryan Seacrest at the Oscars on Sunday: "It's looking very much like we're going to make [the movie], but we've now been asked to stop offering any details. It's cloaked in a little mystery, but it's looking good."

The film could be out as early as the end of the year. Needless to say, I'm stoked.
